Tom Summers, Tax Collector, will hold office hours in the Municipal Building in November on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm.
Office will not be open on Thanksgiving, Nov 28th . Tax payments in December will need paid through the U S Mail only; there will be no open tax office hours. Tax office is closed for the months of January and February 2015.

There are several jackets in the office that were found in the Riverside Park. If you are missing your coat, please stop in the office and claim it. Cold Weather is fast approaching!

Applicants are reminded their completed application for position of Police Officer in Riverside Borough must be returned to the office by Friday, October 17. Application must be returned in order to take the written examination scheduled for October 22, 2014.
The North Branch Canal Trail work day scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) is cancelled. Because we are raking, seeding and spreading straw, we’ll need to wait a day for the trail to dry out from tonight’s rain. Our next and final work day for the near future will be this Thursday, October 9th, from 8:30am – 2:15pm.
Please remember that we will be parking at the temporary trailhead along River Drive in Mahoning Township, roughly one mile east of the Danville Soccer Park, immediately before the North Shore Railroad crossing. Volunteers are asked to bring the following items if possible: · Garden rakes · Shovels · Picks · Pruning shears All volunteers should wear sturdy work boots, long (briar resistant) pants and work gloves. Poison ivy is terribly abundant along this portion of the trail corridor, so please prepare accordingly. As before, only MARC staff and veteran trail crew volunteers will be permitted to operate chainsaws or other power equipment. All volunteers will be required to sign liability waivers before beginning any work. Because trail conditions are still very rough, we ask that children not attend this session. Additionally, because of the legal agreement governing trail construction and access, please understand volunteers may only be on site during the times listed above, in the presence of MARC representatives. West End and Beishline Residents will be paying for the period July 1, 2014 - September 30, 2014 Regular Sewer Accounts will be paying for the period October 1, 2014 - December 31, 2014 Bill date and Due date are correct as printed.
