Meeting was called to order at 7 pm by President Peter T Fleming. In attendance this evening were Vice President John Novak and Council Members John LaMotte and Barb Kriner, Mayor Dale Erb, Solicitor Joseph Michetti Jr and Secretary Deborah Bausch. Absent this evening were council members Bob Betts, Mike Maize and Lori Steele. Citizen present was Caressa Compton. Due to the absence of Brian Anderson, Zoning Officer, the Zoning Report was read by President Peter Fleming. Report was approved on a Motion by John LaMotte and Seconded by Barb Kriner. Police Chief Isaac Ramer then presented the police report. He stated phone scams are being received in the borough and explained how citizens are being taken advantage of. Internet sales seem to be a big part of the phone scam problem; citizens are warned to take heed of these situations when purchasing items on the internet. Chief Ramer then responded regarding meth labs in the area. Meth making has a definite odor and another sign is gallon jugs sitting around a property. Renters in the borough was discussed; we do not currently have a renter’s ordinance but may be something to address in the future. Report was approved on a Motion by John Novak and Seconded by Barb Kriner. Dan Gable, Street Department Superintendent, then gave his report of work being done by the street department.
